NEW YORK, NY (March 31, 2026) — The Summer Fancy Food Show 2026 will take place from June 28 to June 30 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City. Organized by the Specialty Food Association (SFA), the event will mark its 70th edition and is widely recognized as North America’s leading specialty food trade show. According to official event information, the Summer Fancy Food Show 2026 will feature more than 40 product categories, 24 international pavilions, approximately 2,500 booths, and more than 340,000 square feet of exhibition space.

The show is expected to attract more than 8,000 buyers from across the retail, foodservice, distribution, and import sectors. The 2026 edition will run on Sunday, June 28, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday, June 29, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Tuesday, June 30, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Accredited buyers will have early access beginning at 9:30 a.m. each day. Last year, nearly 2,500 brands exhibited and more than 900 new products were introduced, reinforcing the event’s position as one of the most important marketplaces for specialty and gourmet foods.

The Summer Fancy Food Show comes at a time when the specialty food industry continues to expand rapidly in the United States. According to the Specialty Food Association, the market is now valued at approximately $219 billion, while specialty food sales grew from $88 billion in 2013 to about $207 billion in 2023, representing 149% growth over the past decade. For 2026, the industry is being shaped by trends centered on wellness, transparency, functionality, and flavor.

Consumers are increasingly seeking products that offer added benefits such as protein, fiber, probiotics, natural ingredients, and clean labels. Functional foods are among the fastest-growing segments, with protein snacks, digestive health products, fermented foods, adaptogens, and better-for-you beverages gaining traction in the mainstream market. Demand is also increasing for plant-based products, global flavors, premium ingredients, and foods that combine nutrition with sensory appeal.

The Summer Fancy Food Show is known for highlighting trends across snacks, beverages, coffee, chocolate, organic products, plant-based foods, functional foods, gourmet items, and international specialties. “Find new products, fresh inspiration, and meaningful connections as specialty food’s premier discovery event returns to the food mecca of New York City for the 70th time,” the Specialty Food Association states in its official event description.

The Summer Fancy Food Show is open exclusively to industry professionals and is not open to the general public. Attendees must register and provide valid business credentials in order to access the event.
