HOBOKEN, NJ. May 6, 2024 (Biz Republic) — Hudson County Executive Craig Guy and the Board of County Commissioners continued their initiative to connect county and local resources and services to municipalities throughout the County by hosting a County Community Resource Fair at Wallace Elementary School in Hoboken. Chairman Anthony L. Romano was in attendance.

With access to over a dozen tables offering various resources and services, Hoboken residents were able to directly access departments and agencies that exist within the county in a one-stop-shop structure – with translators available for all Spanish-speaking citizens. While attending these Resource Fairs, residents learn about and apply for critical initiatives and programs, including senior citizen services, childcare and health care, small business programs and grant opportunities, as well as vaccinations administered by Hudson Regional Health.

“These County Resource Fairs bring the community and county together in one place with the goal of helping each other and sharing opportunities,” said Hudson County Executive Craig Guy. “Hudson County is here to support Hoboken’s community – the residents that need the services and resources that are critical to their success, happiness, and safety. In addition to offering services residents can utilize, the County Resource Fairs are a great way to discover new career and employment opportunities within the County’s departments.”

“Hudson County has a number of departments that service all residents, especially those that need us the most, throughout the county. Through the Resource Fairs individuals and their families have direct access to the knowledgeable staff that can help them address some of the critical issues they are facing in their lives,” said Hudson County Commissioner and Chairman Anthony L. Romano. “Whether Hoboken’s residents face housing insecurity, food insecurity, or they battle issues related to health and childcare – Hudson County is here to help!”

The Hudson County Community Resource Fairs are one of the many initiatives County Executive Guy and the County Board of Commissioners have undertaken to meet residents where they are, in their communities, while drawing together services and county departments in one place to directly serve the people and families that need them. The County Community Resource Fair held in Hoboken is the fifth installment of these events; they were previously held in Bayonne, Kearny, Union City, and Jersey City.
