JERSEY CITY, NJ. July 26, 2025 — Hudson County Executive Craig Guy invites residents to register for Hudson County’s 4th Annual Strides for Safety 5K Against Gun Violence that will be held in Lincoln Park on Saturday, September 20. During the Strides for Safety 5K, hundreds of Hudson County residents and gun safety advocates will join together in community to run and raise awareness to end gun violence here in our home of Hudson County and across the country.
“Residents of all ages are invited to register and participate in our 4th Annual Strides for Safety 5K Against Gun Violence to be held at the beautiful Lincoln Park on Saturday, September 20. This initiative is not only important to me, but it is also critical for the safety and wellbeing of all residents in Hudson County – especially our youth,” said Hudson County Executive, Craig Guy. ” When we raise awareness, educate the public, and exchange ideas on how to tackle this issue, we can motivate action and positive change can happen. Putting an end to gun violence is a community effort, so register today and bring your families as we all support this important cause!”

The race will feature a USATF-Certified 5K course that showcases Lincoln Park in Jersey City. Following the race, runners and walkers, as well as their families, are invited to the After Party BBQ featuring an awards ceremony, music, family activities, local safety community organizations, and health-focused vendors offering yoga classes, smoothies, massages, and more!
